Since the British landed in Hong Kong in 1841, Hong Kong has transformed from a Chinese village to a diverse city. Residents of different ethnic backgrounds have been here for more than 175 years! Hong Kong Unison has organized public education events yearly to celebrate 21st March (“3-21”) the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination since their establishment. In addition to commemorating this meaningful date, they hope to cultivate awareness of racial equality and promote cross-cultural understanding in our society.
